I started my writing career and pretending to be a “cool internet crypto man” on Publish0x back in February 2020. Apparently I was and still doing okay because people read what I have to every once in a while. Since then, I have discovered a few other crypto blogging platforms that I use to maximize my visibility and expand my CRYPTO EMPIRE!

So, without wasting any time let’s take a look at my personal top 5 crypto blogging platforms in order of preference -shall we?

Top Crypto Blogging Platforms (1): Publish0x.com

Publish0x Home Page

Ah, good old Publish0x, this is where I got my start in the industry and I still write regularly for them. Their methods are pretty interesting, and they probably been around the longest (with their type of platform).

When you create an account, you are automatically eligible to earn three different types of crypto: Basic Attention Token (BAT), DAI, and Loopring Coin (LRC).

Publish0x is “Crypto Agnostic”, meaning they do not have their own token. They set up the system where you can tip the author and yourself in different ratios. Just choose from this cool little slider:

In this way, Publish0x allows you to basically price the value of your time. Was the article good? Awesome! You can show your love by tipping them a high percentage. Did it suck? Well, now you can compensate yourself for your time. Everybody wins! Kinda. If you make crap content, you don’t win.

It’s a really supportive and non-toxic community of folks who are into crypto. They love to talk about it, and they even entertain really big off-topic projects that this author writes about. The Staff are top of the line and hold writing contests every month.

The Publish0x authors, readers, and the entire community are truly awesome and I personally owe them a debt of gratitude because they launched my writing. If you’re looking to break into the crypto blogging platforms industry, Publish0x is where you need to begin.

We have covered a lot of basis for you to get started profitably on Publish0x from day one:

Top Crypto Blogging Platforms (2): Steemit.com

SteemIt Blog Page

SteemIt Blog Page

This tidbit was hard to write about, mostly because they are the “OG” of the crypto blogging platforms. Steemit, powered by the STEEM cryptocurrency, is the flagship of Steem and provided an outlet for people to write about whatever they wanted in different types of communities.

Their system has a bit of a learning curve, and you have to “pay” to get an account. It is a nominal fee, but if you know someone that uses the platform, they can “sponsor” your account and you’re ready to go.

The Steemit Drama

And now for the controversial part of this crypto blogging platform. Earlier this year (2020), Steemit was bought-out by “Big Shot” Tron CEO Justin Sun. Much of the community was pretty divided on this change of leadership and didn’t quite know what the future held for Steemit.

In addition, Justin wrote some offhand tweets talking about things like “Token Swaps” and other big changes. The community and witnesses – if you will pardon my French – lost their collective shit. There were accounts banned, assets are frozen, Binance putting in their two cents in this debacle by voting with Sun… Then backpedaling and “unvoting” with great apologies to the community.

Things were tough for a quick minute on Steemit.

I’m a bit biased on this situation, I won’t lie. I think Justin was wrong. But don’t let my opinion sway you; If you think this is the kind of crypto blogging platform you wanna get started with, do your due diligence and get to posting. I don’t do it anymore, because Steemit had a fun little hard fork to a NEW community….

Top Crypto Blogging Platforms (3): HIVE.blog

Hive Blog Front Page

Hive Blog Front Page

The hard fork of Steem created a new cryptocurrency called HIVE. HIVE and its flagship Hive.blog was the shot heard ’round the crypto space.

People were dumbfounded and many huge flame wars began.

The Hivers said that the Steemians were too centralized and a bunch of fascists and the Steemians said the same about the Hivers.

It was chaos. Being an American, I have a deep-seated respect for a revolution, so naturally, I chose the Hive Side.

Hive.blog is virtually identical to Steemit in nearly every way, with some big former Steemians like BlockTrades giving Steem the finger and switching over to Hive.

However, The hard fork had an added benefit; the tokens in your wallet at the time of the hard fork provided you with an airdrop of the exact same amount of Hive.

There were measures taken that prevented some from getting this airdrop due to loyalties and some sockpuppet accounts of Justin Sun, but it was overall a good experience.

HIVE grows stronger, with a good presence in its own realm, as well as on several different exchanges.

In conclusion, I love HIVE, but I don’t blame you if you’re interested in Steemit as well.

There are a lot of “Double Dealers” who made the compromise to exist on both, and they are killing it now.

Who knows! Maybe you can make a name for yourself on both as well. As for me… I’ll see you on Hive.blog.

Top Crypto Blogging Platforms (4): Uptrennd.com

Uptrennd Home Page

Uptrennd Home Page

Uptrennd is the second best “Web 2.0” crypto blogging platform on the internet. Unlike Publish0x, they have their own ERC-20 token and reward their readers and writers in it.

The most popular way of obtaining these tokens is to garner upvotes for your comments and posts. In addition, If you want to “boost” your post, you can use your tokens to feature it on the front pages.

As a result, you can get more views, which can lead to more upvotes and tokens. Isn’t that fantastic?

They wanted to make the platform competitive in order to stimulate interest. Therefore, they added a leveling system for users. This allows people to trade in their earned tokens for levels and additional benefits.

Although I think the platform is a pretty good idea, I’m not too fond of the comments. There are a lot of folks who simply spam comments in a vain attempt to earn points, and it makes for a substandard reading experience.

However, if they can find a way to police this, the platform would be even better.

I’m still trying to break into Uptrennd, but I recommend you check them out.

Top Crypto Blogging Platforms (5): Read.Cash

Read.Cash Home Page

Read.Cash Home Page

Read.cash is the newest addition to the crypto content industry, having started late last year. Their growth is slow but sure, but the momentum grows by the day. My favorite part of their platform is their minimalist design.

However, don’t let that fool you; it is robust and pays readers and writers Bitcoin Cash. In addition to contributions earned from the readership, you also have the opportunity to earn points that are transferable to a particular amount of BCH, depending on the size of the global fund.

Unlike some other platforms, read.cash makes it relatively difficult to get a foot in the door. In order to make your posts visible, I highly recommend boosting your posts for a nominal amount of BCH.

This will help make your visibility higher, and make it easier to get followers. The more followers you have, the more views you get and the more regard the algorithm gives you.
