This guide will walk you the process of creating a Poloniex Account in 7 simple steps.
According to CoinMarketCap, there are exactly 332 cryptocurrency exchanges at the time of preparing this tutorial and many more are being launched almost every other month.
Sadly, the majority of these exchanges are going nowhere but down the path of exit scam, bankruptcy and plain uselessness.
To save you the stress of having to evaluate each of these to determine where you can safely trade cryptocurrencies or buy bitcoin we prepared a list of the top crypto exchanges you can simply pick one or two from.
Among them are Poloniex Exchange and this guide is intended to walk you through the process of creating an account quickly.
So without wasting time, let’s get started –shall we?
What is Poloniex?
Since 2014, we’ve been dedicated to giving traders and HODLers a safe place to trade and store cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH and the best altcoins on the market. ~Team Poloniex
Poloniex is a US-based cryptocurrency exchange that offers maximum security and advanced trading features.
The exchange was established in 2014 and has been dedicated to giving traders and HODLers (holders) a safe place to buy bitcoin and trade other top cryptocurrencies in the market.
Poloniex claims to have insurance coverage for all cryptocurrency assets deposited on their platform.
This is a proactive measure to curb any future losses to the investors in the event of a hack or other disasters; investors’ funds will be SAFU (safe).
Similar to other top exchanges, Poloniex offers a wide range of trading solutions from spot to margin and futures trading and other passive income opportunities such as crypto lending to maximize investors’ returns.
It is important to note that Poloniex is no longer available for U.S. customers, effective from November 1, 2019.
According to the exchange, this is a necessary sacrifice for it to focus on the needs of global crypto traders with new features, assets, and services to boost its competitiveness in the market.
