Sui airdrop for testnet users and contributors

Congratulations! you’re so early into the SUI airdrop. This is an easy $10,000 to $100,000 win if you start taking the right action today.

What is Sui?

Sui is an Ethereum-compatible blockchain that enables creators and developers to build web3 dApps that can serve billions of users.

It claims to be a horizontally scalable blockchain network with instant transaction finality and low fees and is powered by its native coin, SUI.

But it’s yet to be tested in the real world as it’s still in testnet with a potentially huge upcoming airdrop for testers and early users.

So, if you want to position yourself to get the maximum possible SUI airdrop, you’re in the right place.

The SUI airdrop

The SUI airdrop is one of the major airdrops you should expect in 2023 as the network is set to launch its mainnet in Q2 (April to June) this year.

The team did not explicitly state there’d be an “airdrop”, but they have set up the SUI token community access program which details how the Sui community members can obtain access to the SUI token.

But we all know how it goes with retroactive crypto airdrops. So, let’s discuss how you can position yourself for a potentially huge SUI airdrop.

How to get the SUI airdrop

From the SUI token community access program mentioned above, we know that the Sui Network team will reward early (testnet and devnet) users.

So, here’s how to position yourself for the potential SUI airdrop, starting with the basics

1. Set up your Sui wallet and get some testnet SUI tokens

First, download and install a wallet for the Sui chain. I am using the Sui Wallet and Suiet Wallet, and they’re great.

There’re many others, but these two are perfect. Make sure to back up and store your wallet recovery phrase properly. You know the drill.

Next, get some free Testnet or Devnet SUI tokens into your wallet to test the network.

I like to test everything, so I switch between Testnet and Devnet sometimes and play around, but it’s ok for you to use Tesnet only as most user activities are on Testnet.

There’re two ways to get your free Testnet SUI tokens

Request free Testnet SUI tokens directly from your Sui Wallet

You can request free Testnet SUI tokens directly from your Sui Wallet.

You will be credited with 1 SUI token.

Request free Testnet SUI tokens from Discord

You can also request free Tesnet SUI tokens from the Sui Tesnet faucet bot. To request free Testnet SUI Tokens from the bot, write this:

!faucet YouSuiWalletAddress. For example: !faucet 0x61e99b3f4eb5a0987e477748be287631b730ebfe2a8f9c19ea1ec638ed6a0ec

If successful, the bot will send 1 SUI token to your wallet. And if not, you can try again after 2 hours.

And even if it was successful, you can request more tokens after every 2 hours if you want.

Now that you have some free SUI tokens on Testnet, what do you do with them?

2. Staking SUI tokens directly in your wallet

Once you get some free Testnet SUI tokens, you can stake them in the Sui or Suiet wallet.

This is to get you familiar with the Sui chain.

But don’t sleep yet. Next, let’s go test out different projects or dApps on the Sui chain Testnet.

3. Testing dApps on the Sui chain

If you’re running out of free SUI testnet tokens, go to the Discord faucet bot and request more, because we’re about to get busy farming the SUI airdrop and testing different dApps on the network.

First, there are so many NFT minting and airdrops on the Sui chain testnet going on. Get involved in as many of them as you can.

I share the most legit and important ones I find on our Telegram and Discord channels. Follow these channels so you don’t miss out on them.

Secondly, let’s test the SuiSwap platform, a decentralised exchange (DEX) on the Sui chain and one of the most prominent projects on the network.

The SuiSwap airdrop is confirmed, and testing them out will qualify you for the SUI token airdrop as well as the Suiswap Token (SSWP) airdrop. So, let’s kill 2 birds with one stone.

Testing Suiswap

Load your wallet with as many SUI tokens as you can, then go to the Suiswap website and connect your wallet.

Choose whatever Sui wallet you have installed on your device to connect to the platform.

As you can see, I have Suiet and Sui Wallet installed and can use either of them because it’s the same wallet imported to the other.

Once connected, you’ll be taken to the token swap page. Swap your SUI token for any of the listed tokens and to test the trading platform.

Then proceed to add liquidity to any of the pools shown on the dashboard to test out the platform features.

There’s a Suiswap Crew3 quest that requires you to make transactions on the platform and submit a screenshot to earn XP points which you can convert to SSWP later. So, you want to do that right away and claim that point.

If you want to have more fun, you can go to the Mint tab on Suiswap and mint as many of the listed tokens as you like and swap them around or use them to provide liquidity.

Finally, don’t forget to share your experience with the team and the entire community on Discord to earn more points.

Testing other projects on the Sui chain

There’re many other projects on the Sui chain you can test out it’s impossible to list all of them here.

Below are some of the most promising projects on Sui you can explore and test if their testnet platform is ready.

  1. Aftermath Finance: A decentralised exchange and money market protocol on Sui.
  2. Sui Exchange: The first decentralised exchange built on the Sui network. You can use it to swap tokens, provide liquidity, or participate in initial liquidity offerings (ILOs) for new projects launching on Sui.
  3. SuiPad: This is the first launchpad for tier 1 projects on Sui.
  4. Suistart: A decentralised launchpad on Sui Network. They’re also running a Cre3 Quest you can join to earn XP points. Every XP you get in CREW3 can be used to redeem the Suistart token confirmed airdrop when they launch.

Note that all projects on the Sui chain are still in development until the mainnet launches later this year. Also, all of them don’t have a token yet and many will do an airdrop when they launch.

So, make sure to test out as many of them as possible and you may be able to kill many birds with one stone.

4. Running a Sui node

If you want to get more SUI airdrop than 99.5% of all participants then you consider running a node.

I’m talking about up to $10,000 or more based on a similar airdrop for node runners by other chains.

To learn how to run a node and increase your chance of landing a massive SUI airdrop, check out this guide by @ardizor on Twitter.

If you have any questions regarding running a node, check out the Sui developers’ channel on Discord.

Other airdrop opportunities on Sui

There’s an interesting platform called Raffles built by Ecosystem that allows you to connect your Sui wallet and Discord account to be able to join and participate in various projects raffle draws and earn various rewards.

The rewards for lucky participants in the raffle draws range from special NFTs, Discord roles, whitelists, etc.

Conclusion

The SUI airdrop is less than 4 months away from today and it promises to be a major one.

It costs nothing to use the testnet and try out the various projects building on the chain, except for a small amount of your time.

So, get yourself a Sui wallet, grab some free testnet tokens, stake and test out any project building on the Sui chain that you find interesting.
